The SBB RABe 501 is a 200-meter-long, eleven-car articulated train from Stadler Rail. The SBB also calls the trains Giruno (derived from the Romansh girùn for "buzzard"). The manufacturer calls the train Stadler SMILE (for "Fast Multi-System Innovative Light Express Train", until 2017 Stadler EC250).
