Original Re 421 package from TrainworX, which is compatible with older scenarios.
The Re
421 locomotives were created from the conversion of the Re 4/4 II. The advantage
of these locomotives is that they are also approved for use in Switzerland. The
locomotives now have LZB / PZB and a pantograph with a wider rocker. Because of
the pantograph and the Swiss wheel sets, the top speed of the Re 421 in Germany
is limited to 120 km/h. Because the conversion would have been too expensive,
the upgrade was not carried out. Initially, from 2000, the locomotives were all
used for freight transport in Germany, later they also ran in Switzerland again.
Some locomotives still run today in Eurocity traffic between Zurich and Munich.
The
package also includes a set of Eurocity carriages. The Eurocity carriages are
vehicles that can be used in passenger transport by any railway company with UIC
standards. This allows a journey across national borders without having to
change trains. The standards regulate properties such as carriage profiles,
couplings, brakes and all the various lines such as heating, loudspeakers, etc.
