Railcar of the type X31K/ET
The railcars of the type X31K (Swedish designation) or ET (Danish designation) were delivered to SJ and DSB from 2000. Originally ordered for the Öresund connection from Copenhagen to Malmö, their area of operation has since been expanded so that these railcars can now be found in large parts of southern Sweden and on Själland. Although the trains are not used exclusively on the Öresund connection, their nickname is still "Øresundståg" (Oeresund train).
Currently, about half of the train belongs to DSB and the other half to Transdev.
