3DZUG remains true to this motto and is now launching a nostalgic test run: Our first steam locomotive, the Class 05, is waiting for you to test it.
As early as 1935, the German Locomotive Manufacturers' Association recognized the "need for speed" in its constant efforts to increase travel speeds. The goal was to be able to travel 250 tons at 150 km/h (up to 175 km/h in the event of delays).
The solution ultimately surpassed itself: With an incredible top speed of 200.4 km/h, the Class 05 is not only the fastest steam locomotive in Germany, but also one of the fastest steam locomotives in the world.
While previously only a non-drivable example of the Class 05 could be viewed at the DB Museum in Nuremberg, thanks to 3DZUG, it is now possible for the first time to drive this locomotive in a simulator. We deliberately chose one of the most unusual locomotives for “testing”.

Based on original documents, we tried to adapt the locomotive's driving characteristics to the historical model, while also ensuring good playability and usability. This makes this vehicle easy to handle even for inexperienced train drivers.

The locomotive supports PZB 90, comes with passenger carriages and six scenarios in the package, thus providing everything you need to get started right away and conquer the rails with nostalgia.
