Anyone traveling on German Intercity trains from 1971 onwards always traveled
"first class" – because second class simply didn't exist on the IC
back then.
But demand was high. So, in 1979, the German Federal Railway's new
and improved Intercity service began operating. From then on, the IC also
offered second-class carriages and, with an hourly frequency, ran
significantly more often than before. "Intercity. Every hour, every class."
was the German Federal Railway's advertising slogan at the time.
Even today, over 40 years later, the Intercity is still an important part of
German long-distance rail travel and has undergone countless modernizations
over the years.
This means the IC Mod is in no way inferior to its competitors in terms of
comfort.
3DZUG has meticulously recreated seven IC carriages, both inside and out,
for Train Simulator. On top of that, we supply the drivable control
car, enabling authentic push-pull train operation.
