ÖBB Nightjet
"Make something new from something old," the Austrians thought, and
immediately and successfully implemented this plan:
1.) Take the loss-making Eurolight and CityNightLine trains formerly
operated by Deutsche Bahn.
2.) Give the trains a few loving upgrades under the umbrella of the
Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB).
3.) Then let the trains take the rails by storm in a new guise under the
name Nightjet.
The recipe for success is complete!
What sounds so simple here was actually a long and rocky road. But with a lot
of patience and even more dedication, the ÖBB finally succeeded: The
new Nightjet train type is now operated profitably as a night
passenger train for the Austrian Federal Railways.
The Nightjet is not only particularly climate-friendly, it also
saves time by transporting its passengers overnight in sleeping, couchette,
or seated cars to over 25 European cities. With its high level of
comfort and diverse travel options, there's guaranteed to be something to suit
every budget.
As the saying goes, "Give credit where credit is due," the Nightjet
is finally making its way into Train Simulator. With the 3DZUG
implementation, which consists of seven different, highly detailed,
and fully walk-through night train carriages and a car transporter,
the Nightjet is finally receiving the recognition it deserves.
Be amazed again and again by the attention to detail of the carriages,
the diverse interior views of the seating, couchette, and sleeping car
areas, and the realistic sound.
Several tasks and the included DDm car transporter round out this
exciting package, which no fleet should be without.
