TEE
and Grey Mouse
for
the Microsoft Train Simulator
The
flagship of the SBB Historical Heritage Foundation will also inspire you!
They
were once the kings of the European rail network and the epitome of
sophisticated travel: the Trans Europ Express TEE trains. Equipped with 210
seats, this lovingly restored luxury train invites you to extraordinary journeys
of discovery on all the routes in your Train Simulator. From 1961 to 1988, the
elegant TEE "Gottardo" ran daily between Zurich and Milan. Like no other SBB
train, it embodies the design and spirit of the 1950s and 1960s.
After
30 years of service, the TEEs were rebuilt in 1988/89, and second-class seating
was added. The classic ivory/red livery disappeared, and they were painted in
light gray/dark gray, earning them the nickname "Gray Mouse." The rebuilt trains
were used on the Zurich–Milan and Zurich–Stuttgart routes. Due to frequent
malfunctions (transformer damage, broken axles), they were used in recent years
only as feeder trains for TGV trains between Bern and Frasne. The rebuilt
version features the typical light and dark gray EC livery of the SBB. They are
used in international EC traffic.
