Original Light Steel Car - Package from TrainworX / Wilbur Graphics
In the
1930s, the SBB purchased light steel carriages, which weighed up to 30 tons and
were considerably lighter than the older vehicles. The purchase of these
carriages resulted from a rethink regarding the global economic crisis and a
drastic decline in passenger transport. The carriages were used throughout
Switzerland and some Eurocity trains even went abroad. For example, as a
Eurocity to Munich. The vehicles remained in use until the 1990s. Around 1000
vehicles of various carriage classes were built.
The TSC
AddOn has first class (A), second class (B) carriages, a combined first and
second class carriage (AB) and a baggage carriage (D). The vehicles are equipped
in such a way that they can be fitted with either open or closed folding
flooring for changing carriages in the train.
